Starting from Washington: Shi-Shi Beach (it's quite a little hike through mud, so not for everyone)(about 8 miles round trip if you go to the Point of the Arches) Ruby Beach Second Beach The rest of the Washington Beaches are just meh Oregon: Seaside (tourist trap...beach is pretty plain) Cannon Beach (another tourist trap but the beach has the well-known sea stack)(very photograph-able) Cape Kiwanda (has another sea stack almost identical to Cannon Beach) Cape Perpetua & Thor's Well (the famous hole that everyone photographs)(must be there at the right time of year and at the right tide level) Bandon Beach (lots of sea stacks, plus sea lions)
There are more great beaches, but these are the ones I have visited (except for Ruby) that I particularly liked. Now you sort of have a list!
This was the first time I had experienced that. I don't get much time at the beach...have always lived inland. I love the sea stacks along the coast....makes the beach much more interesting! Oregon really has some lovely beaches, that's for sure!
