Turret Arch as seen through the North Window in Arches National Park.

The last two days I was moving a number of favorites into a new folder called “Colorado Plateau” and then I did a journal showing a sampling of Arches. Your photo of an Arch thru an Arch has to one of the most striking I’ve seen. Your bold framing of Turret Arch focuses all the attention on it, but this frame isn’t a pretty tree or overhang, you’ve framed it through a second arch. It’s relatively easy to get to your vantage point but I don’t recall seeing this captivating composition anywhere else. You have also given this depth with the use of the overlapping arch.
The warm color of the stone and the cool color of the sky contrast well together with the green from the plants giving it a little life. A great composition.

Do you use a tripod on most of shots? Manual settings too?

Yes, I use a tripod on most of my shots. As for settings, that depends on the subject. If it's a waterfall, then I might use manual or I might use shutter speed priority (Tv). I also will use Tv for animal or action shots, or handheld shots. If it's studio work, I usually use Aperture Priority (Av) so I get the DOF I want.
