Mt Hood and the Gorgeby *La-Vita-a-Bella

Okay, this is the next picture from Saturday.

After I had stopped to take pictures of the beautiful wildflowers, I was again distracted in my quest to reach the waterfalls by this view of Mt. Hood across the Columbia River Gorge.

Ah, but you must know by now... no one is safe from the shadow of the Grim Reaper. But he will take you to "the other side of the river" someday.

I've seen a lot of great photos of Mt. Hood but this may be one of the best! Very different viewpoint than the standard ones you see. Oh man, I love the richness of the colors and the way the cloud shadows are caressing the landscape!
