What a wonderful appeal this photo has! The lighting and colouring, together with the lit up windows all make this look very welcoming, and I'd love to go in there for an evening meal (do they do that??).
The autumn colours add to the welcoming warmth and bring a nice contrast to the grey hues of the rocks and the falls behind. (I can imagine the sound of those falls when lying in bed at night.)
I like the framing of this picture as the eye is led from the right-hand foliage across to the central windows, taking in the beautiful textures of the stone walling and a glimpse of an upper lit room partly hidden by the tree on the way, then towards the lamp towards the left, on into the colourful foliage on the far left and upwards and around to take in the rocks and falls above. In fact it seems to me that in every sense of the word, you have obeyed all the rules of the thirds, both from right to left and from above to below! Amazing really how this works so well!!!
The reflections in the wet foreground also add that vitality to the photo that would have very much been missing without them. The perspective is also excellent!
There's nothing I'd wish to do to alter this photo, as there's nothing I can see to criticise! Wonderful work!
You are one helluva lucky ass girl for being able to visit a place like that. I swear it could be anyone's dream or wish come true to just see something like that. Man I wish I was you that day you took the photograph.
This place is about 3 hours from where I live, and I have visited it many times. Autumn is my favorite, with all the colors and the moody atmosphere. I hope you get to go there sometime.
I almost wish that there was a break in the trees to get a full-on view of the waterfall and possibly the bridge... but that's not exactly something we can fix! I think I want to live there... FOREVER. It's so beautiful, I love the coloring. Thank you!
