Description
Same pond as:
Canon Powershot S2 w/ OEC IR filter
Canon XTi w/ OEC IR filter
Canon 5D Mark II w/ OEC IR filter
Sony DSC-W50 converted to IR only
Do you like the look of this one as compared to the others?
I've been doing some testing with infrared and different processing techniques. I know some of you might be tired of this same tree, but it's the one place that I have taken with each of the cameras I've owned so it's easy to compare results.
I checked the original of the first image and that color in the foilage was there before I even processed it and I have never gotten similar results since.
I've reconfirmed that my 5DII isn't sensitive to IR light. I don't know if investing in a different filter would get me different results, as I have seen some shots from others that have shown better results. But for now, I am happy to just use my Sony since I can do hand held shots.
One of the branches on the tree had broken off and fallen in the water, plus someone had thrown a board in the water which were both ruining the reflection...so, today I walked into the yucky water and pulled the board out and moved the branch out of the way.
